Founder Thomas Greither’s grandfather, facing serious health challenges, turned to natural remedies at a time when few believed in their power. Not only did he recover, but his experience inspired him to open one of the very first health food stores in the world — a place where people could access clean, natural products to support their health.

That pioneering spirit was passed down through the Greither family. Thomas’s father continued the work, championing plant-based wellness long before it was a trend. In 1965, Thomas founded Flora, carrying forward his family’s belief that health begins with nature.

At Flora, quality begins long before a product reaches your hands. Every ingredient, from herbal extracts and therapeutic teas to unrefined seed oils and nutrient-rich powders, is chosen with uncompromising care. We believe the foundation of every formula lies in its origin, which is why we invest in sourcing and growing only the highest grade materials.

Our Quality Control team inspects and tests every shipment to ensure it meets the strictest standards for purity, potency, and safety. Each ingredient undergoes detailed identification and advanced analysis for microbial balance, heavy metals, pesticide residues, and active compounds. Only when it meets our exact specifications does it become part of a Flora product.
